We do this by being a proud participant in the Snohomish County Public Utility District Carbon Solutions Program. All electrical power needs are now being met through 100% carbon-free and 100% renewable sources.
Emissions associated with natural gas usage of nearly 500,000 therms per year have been 100% offset by Cascade’s participation in Puget Sound Energy’s Carbon Balance program and the company purchase of a Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer which neutralizes 99% of the Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC’s) turning them and other harmful pollutants into harmless inert byproducts (water vapor, heat).
